Youth Theatre FAQ

Do you offer tuition discounts?
Yes, we offer a 10% family discount for the second child in a family if registered for the same season. Please note, we do not offer a University Employee Discount because we are a soft-funded program.

May parents stay in the classroom?
No. Parents, guardians, and visitors are not allowed to remain in classrooms. Our programs are supervised by education professionals and aim to promote independent learning and socialization opportunities for your children. If you feel that your child is unable to remain in class without you, it may be best to wait a year before enrolling them. Exceptions must be approved by the Youth Theatre Director and the instructor.

What if my child is sick and misses a day?
If your student is exhibiting symptoms of illness, please keep them home until they are no longer symptomatic. Youth Theatre does not issue refunds or partial refunds for absences. If a student misses a day, they are encouraged to attend all other scheduled classes and rehearsals.

I am on the waitlist. How do I know if I got in?
Our waitlist policy operates on a first come, first served basis. As seats become available, parents/guardians will be contacted via email notifying them of openings in the corresponding classes and camps. To claim a spot, follow the instructions in the email. You will remain on the list until you request removal or are placed in a class.

How can I contact my child?
Guardians should communicate directly with our office, and all information will be passed to the student as needed.

Medications in class
All student medications and medical conditions must be reported prior to attending Youth Theatre programs. In the case of emergency medication (e.g., Epinephrine or Inhaler), the device should remain with the student at all times, and staff must be informed of specific medical needs.

What is Youth Theatre’s tax ID number?
In many cases, summer session tuition can be used as a childcare tax credit. For your reference, Youth Theatre’s tax ID number is 87-6000525.
