Big Ideas
- Everyone is unique – even people who have a lot in common have things that make them different!
- Being different is not only okay, it is very important! Nobody else thinks just like you, looks just like you, or has your exact same experiences. Wherever you go, you are adding a perspective that is yours and nobody else’s.
- Try new things! Change can be scary, but change can be good.
- Sometimes we need to question the way things have always been done. Is it the best way to do things? Does it leave anybody out? Does doing things the same way hurt anyone or make them feel like they don’t belong?
- A good leader makes it safe and possible for everyone to be themselves.
- Don’t be afraid of people who look, think, dress, or act differently than you do.
- Value self-expression and diversity.
